this is one of those salads you discover when you just happen to have ingredients on hand, but are in a major time crunch. Ok, maybe it's a bit much to assume you would have these items in your pantry, but hey, what can i say?
Hit your farmers market for fresh pears...it makes a world of differenc.

Woop woop to you!I found your blog today and cannot stop rendaig it. Your writing is very simple and yet beautiful, you are very inspiring so please keep it up! How long have you been vegan for? Has it been since August 08?I went vegan last October and relate a lot to the things that you say. Thankfully, I didn't become vegan because I was ill. I decided it was time for me to open my eyes to the harsh reality of the animals' condition, the damage caused to the environment and to my body. Thanks for sharing your experience. Your blog is now listed in my favourites!Alex

I'm a big fan of purple cabbages. I like eating them in salad, but I especially like using them in coleslaw.
Thanks for sharing this recipe, by the way. I'm going to try serving it some time for dinner.

This looks REALLY good - I'm totally going to make it. What kind of pear did you use... Asian? Barlet? Also, they have them at Twin Cities farmers markets already?? Wow!

Yum. I can just taste this by looking at the picture. And naturally gluten free, which is right up my alley!
